Eastend Painting (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and when you contact us, how we use it, and how you can access or correct it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
When you send a quote request form, call or email us, we may collect:
- your name, phone number and email address
- the suburb or address of the job
- details about the work, your preferred timing and any photos you choose to upload
- anything else you tell us while we quote or carry out the work
You don’t have to give us your details to browse the site. If you prefer not to use the form, you can call us instead, but we need a name and a way to contact you to quote.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, arrange a site visit, prepare a quote, carry out and invoice the work, and keep the records a business needs to keep. We don’t sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we don’t add you to a mailing list.
Who we share it with
We only share your information where it’s needed to do the job or run the business: for example with our website and email host, our accountant or bookkeeper, or a supplier or subcontractor working on your job. We may also disclose it if the law requires us to. Apart from website analytics (see below), we don’t send your information overseas.
How we store it
Quote requests sent through this website are emailed to us and saved in the website’s secure admin area, which only we can log in to. Photos you upload are stored on our web server and are not published on the site. We keep enquiry and job records for as long as we need them for quoting, warranty and legal record-keeping, then delete them. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.
Cookies and website analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this website, such as which pages are visited, how long people stay and roughly where visitors are located, so we can improve it. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information like your device, browser, approximate location and the pages you view. It does not receive your name or the details you type into our quote form.
This information is collected and processed by Google, including on servers outside Australia. You can read how Google uses it at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. To opt out, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or block cookies in your browser settings. The site still works if you do.
WordPress also sets cookies when an administrator logs in to manage the site. We don’t use advertising cookies.
Online chat and booking
If we add tools such as online chat or online booking, we’ll update this policy to explain what they collect, who provides them and where the information is stored.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we no longer need to keep it. Call George on 0413 877 300 or use the quote request form and we’ll respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you’re concerned about how we’ve handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to fix it. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
