Painting in Mount Evelyn
Mount Evelyn sits in the foothills where the suburbs give way to forest. Homes are a mix of older weatherboard cottages, 1970s and 80s brick and timber houses and newer builds, many on sloping, tree-lined blocks along the old aqueduct and the creek.
The hills bring more rain, more shade and more moss than the flats below, so exterior paint works harder here. We wash and treat surfaces for mould before we start, fix rot in boards and window frames, and use paint systems made for damp conditions. We also watch the forecast closely and only paint when surfaces are dry enough for a lasting finish.
Inside, we repaint living areas, bedrooms and whole homes, often for families updating a house they’ve been in for years. Many older Mount Evelyn cottages have been extended over the decades, so we take care to blend old and new sections into one even finish.

The work was done efficiently but at the same time clean, well executed and transformed our house into a ‘true work of art.’ … I honestly do not believe there is a better painting team out there.

FAQ
Painting in Mount Evelyn: common questions
Why does paint fail faster on shaded walls in Mount Evelyn?
Shade keeps walls damp, which lets mould grow and stops paint curing properly. Cleaning, treating and the right paint system make a big difference to how long it lasts.
Can you replace rotten weatherboards before painting?
We do minor timber repairs as part of our prep. For larger areas, we’ll flag it at the quote so a carpenter can replace boards before we paint.
