Painting in Mount Dandenong
Mount Dandenong is one of the wettest parts of greater Melbourne, with tall mountain ash forest, mist that rolls in for days and homes perched on steep, winding blocks. Many are timber houses and chalets with large decks and big windows facing the view. Getting materials and equipment up narrow mountain roads takes planning, and we’re used to it.
Constant moisture and shade are tough on paint and timber. We clean off moss and mould, fix soft timber, prime properly and use coatings designed for wet, shaded conditions. Steep sites need careful access, so we set up scaffolding and ladders to suit the slope and keep driveways clear.
We also paint interiors, from timber-lined living rooms to bedrooms and kitchens, and can work through the cooler months when outside painting has to wait for the weather. Large decks and balconies facing the view get the worst of the wet, so we pay extra attention to stripping, sanding and sealing them.

The work was done efficiently but at the same time clean, well executed and transformed our house into a ‘true work of art.’ … I honestly do not believe there is a better painting team out there.

We have found George and his team to be very professional. The quality of work is of the high standard. … Great to deal with!
FAQ
Painting in Mount Dandenong: common questions
Can you paint homes on steep blocks in Mount Dandenong?
Yes. We plan access around the slope, use scaffolding where it’s needed and are fully insured for working at height.
How do you stop mould coming back after painting?
We clean and treat affected areas before painting and use paints with mould resistance for damp, shaded walls. Keeping gutters clear and trimming overhanging branches helps too.
Can you paint in winter?
Inside, yes. Outside, we wait for dry spells and suitable temperatures so the paint cures properly.
